Left-hand blast. The path to grind!
Coming from
the last century and having more than three decades in their back spine, a long
road has been carved by these Germanic veterans. Going back to 89, DEPRESSION
has been doing it all and getting the right credits for it serving as a
reference in the world grindcore scene as their historical and contemporary
fellow mates Blood, Dead, Gut, and last but not least Cock And Ball Torture.
This handful
of artists even might be the winning hand that represents the best extreme
bands hailing from the Teutonic metal scene ever. DEPRESSION clearly shows no
signs of erosion and an unstoppable will to keep their music as they like and
want. Simplicity results for them as a ferocious and deadly mass destructive
weapon that shouldn’t be ignored.
Heading up
for their 6th studio album among countless other releases, DEPRESSION continues
to smash our faces to oblivion. Indeed the new opus “Ära der Finsternis” marks
their return to their best shape, confirming all said before. The new songs are
heavy and groovy Death/Grind but also desperate and morbid pushing us back and
forth, testing our limits, surveilling our sanity, and driving us to ecstasy.
The final flavor you get is beastly and mouth spilling gore is guaranteed.
It’s great
to have bands like DEPRESSION around doing what they do and standing for their
principles. For this matter “Ära der Finsternis” is a newly written page for
them and another one that will be rooted in the history of groovy Death/Grind.

O Erasy teve seu início entre 2012 e 2013 com ensaios em algum estúdio escondido e empoeirado na cidade de Feira de Santana. Tendo sua data de concepção quando veio a público pela primeira vez no palco do Festival Grito Rock (2013) também na cidade de sua fundação.
Inicialmente inspirada em bandas de southern e stoner metal, depois de algumas mudanças de integrantes a banda chegou a um denominador comum formado pelas influências de riffs setentistas "Sabbathianos"/"Iommescos" com uma pegada bem Doom e Sludge. Assim, com riffs pesados/arrastados com solos espaciais, um baixo com fuzz e muito peso, uma bateria que explora o pedal duplo e um vocal visceral, a banda se firmou no cenário local e para além dele.
Teve como primeiro material os singles "Living Hell" e "Hollow" em 2014 tendo audições internacionais. Em 2016 lançou seu debut álbum, o “The Valley Of Dying Stars” que foi bem apreciado pela crítica especializada.
Atualmente o Erasy é formada por Luciano Penelu (Voz) Joilson Santos (baixo), Gilmar Vurmun (bateria) e Leandro D'Carvalho (guitarra) na qual assinou com o selo Californiano Doom Stew Records e lançou um EP no dia 31 de agosto de 2018 em formato compacto vinil 7" e também digital, com duas músicas com distribuição nacional e internacional.
No ano 2019 a banda entra novamente em estúdio e lançou o single “A Look Into Emptiness” em 13 dezembro. Ainda em 2019 a banda finalizou as gravações do segundo álbum "Some Nice Flowers" que foi lançado nas plataformas de streaming em maio de 2020 e em sua versão física em setembro do mesmo ano com parceria entre 5 selos, Resistência Underground, Tales From the Pit (MG) Reaper Music (SP), Codex Giga Records (Ba) e o Dopesmoke Heavy Music Productions.
