Swedish Apocalyptic Post Punk Group HAERDSMAELTA Joins Sliptrick

In 2015, the dystopic rock act Haerdsmaelta was formed. The guidelines including hard without being metal, fast without being punk, angry without being hardcore, catchy without being pop and this project was to be the outcome. The goal was to produce and release material in a fast pace. Thinking outside the box with no musical rules whatsoever.

The name of the group translates into ‘meltdown’, something drummer and vocalist Aeberg felt he was having mentally when going through all the influences that both himself and bassist Spraeng wanted to include in their new project. Everything from early synth pioneers like DAF and Der Plan to punk acts like Dead Kennedys and Poison Idea to the stonier side of the musical spectrum with acts like Monster Magnet and QOTSA. Haerdsmaelta felt like the obvious moniker for the band.

The band has previously released three EPs and in 2021, the full-length album All Alone In The Danger Zone will be released via Sliptrick Records. The band describes it as a blender of love, hope and all the other things that will eventually wipe humanity of the face of the earth.
